I am forever in a rut when it comes to cooking and baking these days. Ever since having #2 (okay, ever since getting pregnant with number
2 1) I’ve been stuck as to what to cook or make for snacks. I find everything is either horribly bad for us to eat, or I just can’t sacrifice the time not knowing when there will be a need for my attention. I’ve had more than a few burnt offerings since PipSqueak has been here!
This week, for some reason, I am obsessed with baking again. I tweaked my aunt’s family recipe and tied for 3rd place in a pie contest this past Sunday. I’m about to embark on another original recipe creation this afternoon, and have an almost 3-year-old asking for a snack. So I do what I’ve learned to do best lately, I hit my favourite foodies online!
Then, the other super simple indulgence (but not nearly as healthy) is the home-made kit-kats on Back for Seconds. I’m addicted to her recipes too, for all the opposite reasons I’m addicted to Superglue Mom and Momables. They each feed a side of my alter ego! Hope you enjoy discovering their sites this week!
