I just had the most amazing walk through Sears Canada The Baby’s Room – and it was fab-fab-fabulous!
I really didn’t know what to expect. We have a smaller Sears store in Guelph, and the last time I went in to find a baby item other than clothes, it took a while. This time it took just as long, but for completely different reasons. I was mesmerized by all the amazing brands now in store! There were all my old favourites, and tons of newbies that I can’t wait to get my hands on for the new Poppet in our lives (arriving May 14th or thereabouts!)

Check out this amazing Squirt spoons. Great for Travel! The food is stored in the handle and you squeeze it to feed!
I think what makes the layout of The Baby’s Room work so well is Sears’ commitment to solutions based shopping. There are 5 distinct and easy to find sections in the department: Nursery, Travel, Feeding, Bath and Gifting. The signs make it so easy to navigate. Everything from car seat stage safety milestones listed right on signs, to being able to smart scan a label and be taken right to all the detail on the Sears’ The Baby’s Room website, Sears has thought of it all!
One of my favourite places was the nursery showrooms. The Guelph store has 4 boys and 4 girls nurseries set up. There’s seating, storage, crib, bedding, lighting, all laid out in coordinating styles. I love it when a brand does the thinking for me! Come on in and take a peek for yourself! The knowledgeable staff is eager to help in any way possible, and they’re super excited themselves! There’s no better time as until October 25th the Sears Everything Baby Sale is on – and it is HOT!
Since winter is around the corner, full of sniffles and sneezes, I picked up an absolutely adorable cool mist humidifier for Poppet’s room. (Truth be told, I’ve personally put it in my room for now. Sigh – I think I feel a cold coming on. I promise I’ll let her use it for her turn! Really, I promise!)
Disclosure: I am part of the Sears – The Baby’s Room Ambassador program with Mom Central Canada and I receive special perks as part of my affiliation with this group. The opinions on this blog are my own.
