Health Benefits of Coffee vs. Tea

Ever wanted to learn a bit more about tea and coffee? Or worried about the health implications involved in drinking it? Well worry no more – the good folk and Policy Experts have created a great infographic to keep you informed of the side effect of drinking your daily brew – and guess what? Not all the side effects are bad! Did you know that scientists think coffee could not only be used to prevent type 2 diabetes, but also one day, perhaps even cure cancer? And it’s not just coffee hogging the limelight – tea has numerous health benefits too, including helping towards the prevention of heart attacks and lowering stress hormones the body creates. So if you rely upon your daily coffee or tea to get you through the day, then stop panicking or feeling guilty. As this infographic shows these two drinks can actually be very good for you indeed!

Interesting study, but I don’t understand how something with caffeine (that stresses the heart and causes insomnia) possibly hold the cure to heart disease and insomnia?

Wow! Who knew? I’ve decreased both my coffee and tea intake over the years but now I won’t feel guilty if I splurge over the long cold winter. I’ll have to find white tea. I’ve never had it.

I am not really a coffee drinker, but I love tea. I didn’t know it contained fluoride. What an interesting fact!

Interesting! I had a chuckle at the yearly sales, in British currency, proving the British affinity for tea. I think over here in the colonies that might be reversed. You see, we’re still a little miffed about that tea tax in Boston, so we prefer coffee… ; )

I drink black and green tea, but have to have my coffee. Seriously, have to have my coffee! I don’t drink soda/soft drinks, though. :)

When I think of tea, I think of being sick and only if I get the sweet tea like raspberry would I ever consider drinking tea. I do hear that green tea can help with weight loss.

    But coffee is my addiction!

This is freaking cool! My wife likes tea so she’ll be pretty happy to see this. I don’t do coffee or tea, I do mountain dew. THink there’s any health benefits there? ;-)
