As technology has progressed and evolved, children’s toys have seen a complete overhaul in recent times. The popularity of electronic games and consoles has changed the way in which toys are bought for little ones. However, there is still place for the classic wooden toys of old, which can still give babies and small children hours of fun and enjoyment.
Here is a guide to the essential wooden baby toys
Stackers And Shape Games
Games and play are an important part of a child’s development and a great way for parents and children to interact. Colourful objects and shapes are quintessential aspect of children’s play and stimulates their reactions.
Teething Toys
Teething can be a very stressful and painful part of a baby’s early stages. A teething ring is an essential toy to make this process pass as smoothly as possible. Wood is a highly durable and versatile material and is perfect for this kind of toy.
Rattle
A rattle is a classic baby toy and has been popular for decades. Although mostly made of plastic, traditional wooden rattles can be purchased by many suppliers. They are a safer alternative to plastic as they are less likely to create small pieces which can cause choking and are more durable and long-lasting.
Beads And Abacuses
This is another example of a classic children’s toy but an important one nonetheless. Number play and counting games are an extremely important part of early learning and creative development.

My child Daniel like wooden toys extremely, though he is in the age of 12. I have bought all kinds of wooden toys for him . He is too sensitive and prolific in caring his toys.
I love wooden toys! We have a set of blocks that belonged to our oldest and 11 years later our youngest is now playing with them. They are classics and built to last. I love being able to pass them from one child to the next! =)

Totally agree! Must admit, I love that they’re really making a comeback!
I love traditional wooden toys (and furniture) if they are made well they can be passed from child to child, unlike a lot of the newer plastic stuff.
