I was recently given the opportunity to review the process of turning a favourite picture into a gallery wrapped canvas. It took me a while to decide on what project I wanted to tackle with this, but once it was clear in my mind, I set about making it a reality!
Selection
I headed on over to put a photo on canvas at Easy Canvas Prints.com. Their site is inviting and easy to navigate. Their selection is where they are really set apart from the rest.
I had the option of choosing between .75″ and 1.5″ depth to my canvas. I could upload a print from my computer, Facebook, even Instagram! Then it was automatically checked for quality. If I was happy with the result I could leave it as is. If there were any issues I could pay a small fee for touch-ups, or converting the image to sepia or black & white.
Customization
I choose a custom canvas size of 16 x 16 – inches. Once that was done I could choose how I wanted the sides of my canvas to appear. I could have a plain colour, I could have the image mirrored, or I could have the image extend onto the sides. I chose to have just a plain black edge since I was doing a collage rather than a single pic.
All told I spent about 10 minutes completing everything for my order. Then I went to check out.
Thought of Everything
Easy Canvas Prints thought of everything so I wouldn’t have to. When I went to pay for my order, I was even offered the option of purchasing the wall mount hardware. YES! Nothing like having to make a trip to the hardware store to hang one picture. Usually that means months of sitting somewhere in the house waiting for me to get around to running the errand (or remembering to run the errand!) And by having them supplied, I’m guaranteed that they will work with my specific canvas!
Finally, I was pleasantly surprised by the option to share my design on Facebook and Twitter for free! Not only that, but I got a $10 gift card for doing so. I was more than happy to oblige as I was quite proud of the end result and had many people ask me how I managed to create it!
Using Easy Canvas Prints could not have been simpler, or more rewarding! Check them and their main site for making signs out for yourself!
