I love the Letter Buddies! I love them as much, if not more than Poppet does! I was super excited when I opened the package that arrived and saw a complete set of Letter Buddies Books! Cavallo Publishing has outdone itself with this set of educational must haves!
As a Mum who hopes to home-school her children, here’s a short (very short) list of what I love about these books:
The Characters
How smart having each letter be its own character, with its own name, personality and appearance. They have each become an easily identifiable friend to my child, and she’s not quite 2! She knows exactly who “Active A” is or “Tall T”. She points them out eagerly on each and every page!
The Layout
Each page has a bright picture that draws a child’s imagination in. There is the familiar Letter Buddy, along with an object or thing that begins with that letter. In the sentence at the bottom of the page the letter is also in the same colour as its corresponding Letter Buddy. How clever is that!
The Education
Besides the absolute fun of this curriculum, the educational side is not lacking in the least. In fact, the child is encouraged to complete the final page of each book, complete with a sentence and picture that goes along with the entire theme. Have I mentioned how much I love this series?
The Whole Package
It is not often that the everything has been thought of for you! And Letter Buddies proves that it does not have to cost an arm and a leg to start your child off on the right foot in their education! The Author of this series Libby Larrabee does not disappoint parent, teacher or child in this extremely entertaining series!

I’ve been reading through these books with my toddler and we both love them. She get’s to choose what books to read off the shelf and she will often choose these. The graphics are fun and helpful.
