I am SUPER thrilled to have been chosen as a contributor on the Save with Barbie Blog Tour! Â I mean, who doesn’t LOVE Barbie? Â Every girl’s imagination is open for the exploring as soon as they set eyes (and hands) on their first Barbie!
When I was a little girl in the 70′s and early 80′s, I remember playing for hours with my Barbie. Â I remember one year my parents went on vacation, leaving me at my grandparents, and they left me with a brand new, yellow Barbie Camper! Â Then came my Ken doll, and when I was older, my mum even let me play with her Francie and Midge dolls. Â I was lost in my own little world of endless possibilities – I could be anything I wanted as I lived vicariously through my Barbie Doll and her friends. Â It was more than just the clothes and perfect hair, it was a perfect world of no limitations, a world where I could be anything I wanted, and accomplish it all! Â I used to hate having that moment of intrigue abruptly ended when I’d be called for dinner.
I still have all my dolls and accessories. Â Not because I’m storing them perfectly for my retirement, but rather, because they are such a sentimental part of who I am today. Â I think Barbie even gave me my love for all things girly! Â If I had an endless pocket-book, I likely would have become a mass collector! Â But alas, I grew up in an age without online shopping, and deals that make you feel you walked away with a steal! Â Not so for you and the girls in your life!
Every Tuesday and Thursday, from August 7th until September 14th, Websaver.ca will be hosting coupons for the Barbie Brand. Â We’ll make sure to Tweet and post about it on Facebook for you, so make sure to check in regularly! Â Take a moment yourself and See What Happens When You Save with Barbie!

Great post! Brought back memories of my Barbies! I have the Convertible, a pool, and quite a few Barbies and Clothes – when I was in High School I gave it ALL away to 3 adorable sisters whose Mother left them. Although I’d like to have it to pass on to my daughters, I really don’t regret sharing with those little motherless girls!
What a great idea! I totally forgot about the pool! I had that too! Love that you shared yours!
Really fun! I actually cut my Barbie’s hair, thinking it would grow back…oops;)
Hey, I would love to publish your Mr. Darcy story, and add it to our collection! You can e-mail me at ladyladuke@ladyladuke.com
