No, this is not at all a catch up. Thanks to one of my wonderful Tribe mates for suggesting I actually lump my blessings together, so that it made for easier and better reading!
Day 263 – I am thankful for slow starts. Today started at Bit-by-Bit, and ended in the same place, surrounded by our friends, the first campfire since the fire ban lifted, roasted marshmallows, ice cream, and brownies! Oh, yeah, and lots of mosquitos!
Day 264 – I am thankful for garage sales. Ever the person to find a bargain, we had a fundraising garage sale today. It was smoking hot outside, but Poppet walked away with lots of Disney VHS tapes for the trailer, an explorers hat, with a matching leapfrog globe!
Day 265 – I am thankful for short stop-overs. Spent the night at Mum’s after a quick stop up in Orillia. Was great as always, and was exhausted.
Day 266 – I am thankful for TV. Okay, so I, the one with no cable, who only ever downloads what I need to watch, really notices that I’m missing the Olympics. I feel kinda lost. Liked watching it at Mum’s when we were there. But other than this moment, you could probably scratch this blessing back off the list for me!
Day 267 – I am thankful for unexpected excursions. Hubby had an appointment in Toronto, so we all packed up from the trailer to head home, with a stop over with Grandma! One trip to Chapters, another to Ikea for dinner and browsing (seriously, have I EVER walked out of Ikea without purchasing anything! This has to be a first!). What a great way to spend an evening!
Day 268 – I am thankful for social shopping. I am so used to doing the errands on my own. It was so nice to have my hubby come with me for my HUGE (and I really mean HUGE, GARGANTUAN, ENORMOUS) shopping evening at Costco. Not nearly as relaxing as Ikea!
Day 269 – I am thankful for Papa. Just not so thankful that I have spent 2 days now being called Papa. Only under threat of discipline do I hear the words Mummy come out of those sweet little lips. Seriously? Okay, maybe this wasn’t a truthful blessing after all….
Day 270 – I am thankful for a great day spent with Poppet. We had a great time at services, where she was SO well-behaved. Â We baked muffins, we had steak and watermelon, cuddles and music. Â I really enjoyed this time with her, rather than the norm of feeling like pulling my hair out in frustration when Papa travels. Yeah!
Day 271 – I am thankful for airport limos. Nothing like trying to take a cranky toddler to the cell phone waiting lot when your hubby’s flight comes in at nap time. And the shared rides from the airport out to Guelph leave much to be desired. The new limo companies we’ve found have had really great rates and we’ve really enjoyed having him home sooner than 3 1/2 hours after he lands!
Well, that’s it for this week. We’ll see you next week for more blessings! Can’t believe we are on the countdown. Only 3 months of blessings left in this challenge!

Thanks for the awesome suggestion of putting them all together like that. Sure made it a lot more fun to write too!
You have a lot to be thankful for, it seems. I like that, especially because it’s the little things that provide the joy in life. You just have to wanna see them!
P.S. I am nót thankful for your captcha locks. It took me three tries to get this comment posted. I’m dumb that way.

So sorry! But our hosting company made us install it. We had so much traffic that it drew a lot of spam comments and they shut down our site at one point until we installed the captcha. Open to suggestions for a better version of it if you know of one!
Cute idea! I totally agree with unexpected excursions! Just wish I had more!

What a great way to document all the things you are thankful for. It’s so easy to forget all of our blessings as we struggle with all the challenges life throws at us. Great post!

Beautiful list! I can relate to the TV item. I don’t have cable either, and every four years I wish I did, so I could watch the Olympics!
