The Great Blessing Catch Up (365 Days of Blessings – Days 242-247)

So, I went on vacation, and wouldn’t you know it?  I fell behind in my blessings challenge.  It’s not that I had nothing to be thankful for, but rather that I was too busy enjoying what I WAS thankful for, and kept running out of time to blog.  So my catch up for this week goes like this:

Day 242 – I am thankful for surprise visits.  We ended up going out to London and surprised people at services out there this week.  

Day 243 - I am thankful for my slave labour.  I’ve needed to make cushion covers for our outdoor wicker couch at the trailer.  I decided this was the day.  Pulled out the sewing machine, sat outside, and sewed 3 sides of 6 different cushions.  I HATE sewing by hand, but Grandma and my sister were there and thankfully sewed up the backside of each cover for me!

Day 244 - I am thankful for library internet service.  Almost starving, with a hungry toddler, we settled in to eat with a WagJag coupon I’ve been saving for vacation.  Pulled out the app, flashed the bar code, and the server says…….we only accept printouts of the coupon.  Huh?  This is a social media campaign they decided to run here isn’t it?  And I am using the WagJag official app, aren’t I?  Oh well, one trip to the Cambridge library, $1.00 of printing fees later, one drive back to the restaurant, and we were happily filling our bellies!

Day 245 - I am thankful for one more day.  Hubby’s vacation is over, but Poppet and I spend one last day at the trailer before he comes to pick us up on his way home from work.  Glorious!

Day 246 - I am thankful for water wings.  Spent the day with our  best friend’s parents.  Hubby doing business, me just having a lovely visit.  But at the end of the day we had an awesome BBQ and jumped in the pool for a swim.  We had forgotten Poppet’s life jacket up at the cottage over our vacation, and I happened to find some water wings in Dollarama instead.  They worked even better!

Day 247 - I am thankful I’m staying home this week-end.  Lots of travelling over the past couple of weeks has left me with a HUGE backlog at home.  The idea of travelling this week-end was a bit more than I could take, so I’m happily staying home with Poppet!  

Whew, so we’re all caught up, I officially have a post today, and tomorrow we will begin again!
