Read fabric care labels before you wash:  Well, duh!  But how many of us actually follow this step?  I must admit, I am notorious for throwing everything in the wash without reading the care instructions.  Probably explains a thing or two in the wardrobe mess department!
Check wet garments for remaining stains:  This is something I actually do religiously!  One favourite shirt ruined by a dried on oil stain cured me of simply tossing the entire load in the dryer just assuming it was all clean!
Dry only full loads:  I never knew this point, but apparently a full load actually dries faster!  I always thought the opposite was true.  A load that is not full will in fact decrease the dryer’s tumbling ability, causing the load to take longer to dry.  Who knew?
