My husband turned to me the other day and asked out of the blue, Â ”Do you ever worry about Poppet?”…..
“Like, all the time?” I replied
“Does it ever stop?”
“Nope, don’t think so.”
Isn’t it a scary, wonderful, exciting, anxious thing to be a parent? Â Worrying that you’re doing the right or wrong thing, worrying about how you are going to keep them safe when they already insist on face-diving off the food court bench at the mall, worrying that they’ll just turn out right besides you? Â And yet I wouldn’t change one, single, solitary moment!
My midwife observed to me when Poppet was about 10 days old, how it was not like my heart was walking around outside my body and all I could to was watch. Â It is so true, but I also can guide and protect it to the best of my ability and trust God to fill in the gaps!
Warmest regards,

I am 45 and my mom still worries about me. Reminds me to watch for downed wires in storms etc. it is something that will never change, and you know, I am glad.

How sweet! Think I’m gonna be one of those mums too!
Sometimes when I really think about it, I mean REALLY think about the enormity of it all, it takes my breath away. I mean, we are raising human beings, for the next 50 years (God willing!). And since having kids, I hate to admit, I have these horrible “what if” scenarios in my head all the time, “what if x happened, what would I do? I would do x,y and z” Being a parent is awesome in so many ways!!
