Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil Review and Giveaway!

Gold Label, Rafflecopter Giveaway, Sponsorship, Tropical Traditions, Virgin Coconut Oil

I consider myself somewhat versed in natural methods. Whether it be body care or health, I try to study and be knowledgeable in what I am preparing and using in my own family. When I was given the opportunity to review Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil I was excited! I LOVE coconut oil, and use it in many ways in my day to day life, of which cooking is just one of them.

In doing this review I wanted to offer you something other than the traditional uses, so you too can see how versatile coconut oil is. And no matter what I threw at it, Tropical Traditions was up to the challenge.

One thing I use coconut oil for is stir-frying. It has a high smoke point, so it is ideal. But I also have used it as a body moisturizer, a binder for natural deodorant, to make nut butters, and to bake with when a recipe calls for shortening. In the following YouTube video I show you how easy it is to make both the deodorant and fresh almond butter using Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil.

What I love almost as much as the oil itself, is the back story to this product. It was started by a family who was living in the Phillippines at the time. They started extracting the coconut oil BY HAND the way its been done for generations. And what I love even more, is that their staff still do it by hand today!

Our wonderful sponsor is giving away a quart-size jar of their Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil to one awesome reader! To enter simply follow the steps in the Rafflecopter Widget below. Don’t forget to click on “I did this” after completing each step.

i love it for cooking and baking, but i love it most for my skin and hair – put it on before showering, then rinse the excess off.

I’m just entering into the world of coconut oil, but tonight I used a bit on my little guy’s diaper rash as well as on his chest since he has a cold and his nose is stuffy. And a few days ago I used it to get the cradle cap off his head and on my head to help with some psoriasis (worked great for both). I have only heard wonderful things about Tropical Traditions so I would love to try their product.
Great video and thanks for the giveaway!!

The Tropical Traditions sounds like a wonderful company of natural goodness! I’ve only had a sample from a friend so far and it works well for itchy skin. I’m anxious to try the recipes and use it for stir frying also. Thank you for the great uses and video.

I’m new to using coconut oil but I intend on using it for cooking and baking. I have some recipes that call for shortening and wasn’t sure whether I could use coconut oil in place of it but now you’ve answered my question….thank you!!

I like it for baking–like chocolate chip cookies. I want to try to make deodorant with it.

I am so uber proud of this post Joy. Excellent, excellent video. I am going to send this to my Naturopathic doctor who highly recommends coconut oil. I valued the recipes you shared, and the catchy tune in the background. Well done! Sounds like a fabulous product. I can’t wait to try it.
