Quite hard in the beginning and in the end. I had to readjust my sleeping and waking as well my emotions of panic and fear. It took us a few nights but everybody got used to it in the end.

Makes his night feedings more often. I put him down in his crib at night, and the first time he wakes up he is in bed with us. Mostly because I am to tired to be alert and feed him and put him back.

When my boys wake up around 5 am they get to come into my bed which gives us all about an extra hour of sleep. I love the cuddles so much. They are almost 18 months old.

I have coslept with both of my kids. The youngest still does. I had no problem moving my oldest into his own room, he was great about it. His younger brother has been less interested, but I’m not pushing it. Good luck!

we co-slept and still co-sleep quite a bit. i love the closeness and the convenience of it, especially when we’re travelling! plus, the snuggles, augh, LOVE ‘EM!

Our half co-sleeping days are still in full effect with our youngest. I long to actually be done with it. ;) He’s 18 months and still breast fed just about only. He has a cracker or two. Makes his night feedings more often. I put him down in his crib at night, and the first time he wakes up he is in bed with us. Mostly because I am to tired to be alert and feed him and put him back.
I am guessing if he just would eat some solid foods, he would sleep longer. *sigh*
A full night’s sleep has been a dream of mine since the birth of my first born.. As his sleep was the worst ever, and he didn’t sleep through the night until a few months before my second was born.
*dreams of a full nights sleep….*
I do have to admit. Seeing my little ones sweet face first thing in the morning is a wonderful thing. :)

I think the transition went so slowly, I didn’t realize it was happening. So there were no heartwrenching goodbyes. I did love cosleeping though.

We never did the co-sleeping outside of camping/vacations/hotel stays. Except for the occasional bad storms.

Curious though, how did you keep your child safe when they were small? In our area we have a lot of co-sleeping deaths in the news.

We let the kids sleep with us for a “treat” on the weekends. I’ve questioned whether we should keep doing this or not…. but the sweet family time is so precious.
