When we last headed to Barbados a year ago, we spent a couple of nights at my Aunt’s house. She was making out a grocery list with the house-keeper and I spotted this awesome check-list on her counter. It was written on a piece of plain cardboard, and on it was listed every staple that is always found in her pantry. I snapped a photo of it, and when I returned home I made my own pantry list. Each time I go grocery shopping, I pull out this list first and see what I’m missing. It makes quick work shopping instead of aimlessly going aisle by aisle. Try it for a couple of weeks yourself and see the difference it really makes!

This is a great idea. Back in the 80′s, I was an au pair in Switzerland for 6 months, and the family with whom I worked had a computer printout list that was used. Made shopping much easier!
