When we were young, my sister did not like eating vegetables. My father actually pureed them into spaghetti sauce, but until he perfected the method we had more than one batch of green Spaghetti. It was enough to make Dr. Seuss proud!
Poppet is no too much of a finicky eater….well, that’s if Ketchup is slathered over it. If not, it can be hit or miss. Recently I was given the opportunity to review the DVD Copy-Kids: Eat Fruit and Vegetables. It is the simplest of ideas, and yet Poppet was glued to it. ;I knew it was going to be good when I actually saw some of my favourite cook-books on the shelf, including Nourishing Traditions!
The idea is that children like to mimic other children when they see laughing and fun! This DVD is based on that premise, and shows 6-8 minutes each of different children exploring, speaking about and joyfully eating 12 different Fruits and veggies! All you do is pop the DVD into your player, choose the fruit or vegetable you’d like them to learn about, hit play, and enjoy watching your child giggle and join in on the fun. Just make sure when it’s all over that you have said fruit or veggie on hand, because they’re sure to want to try it!
Poppet talked, giggled and squealed with delight!
Take a peek at the sizzle reel and you’ll be hooked! Better yet, let your wee one take a peek too!
The DVD features well-known pediatrician, Dr. Jay Gordon, who is dedicated to getting young children interested in healthy foods from the start!
