You may have many reasons for trying to live frugally. Perhaps you are trying to get out of debt, perhaps you have just been laid off, perhaps you need a new car or house. You know what it is like when you walk into the bank and apply for financing and they pull up your credit report. If you are like me, there have been moments when I was in university when I would sit there, eagerly wondering what would come back! It was a guessing game and I wasn’t always sure which side would win! Thankfully my living on credit days are over. What is also over is my ignorance as to what my credit score will pop up as.
Everyone should know their credit scores. No matter where you live in the world, there are methods of pulling these numbers. In the USA you can receive your free credit score online really easily! Sometimes you need to know in a pinch and it’s great that you can get immediate access to your own personal information. It’s also important to check your score regularly as you never know when someone else may have gained access to your personal details without you knowing it! It’s a small way to know where you stand to better plan your financial future!
