PostHeaderIcon Review & Rafflecopter Giveaway – The BubCap (Home Button Toddler Detterent!)

It’s all quiet in the car!  Poppet is in the back seat playing with a toddler app on my iPhone.  She has done this ever since her hands were big enough to hold on to it.  Usually it is a lot louder from the rear of the van.  Typically she will play, engrossed in the latest game, until her tiny thumb grazes the home button.  Then all chaos breaks loose!  There’s tears, crying, whining!  I always thought someone should invent a solution, but didn’t have a clue what it would be.

One day I was wandering around the web, not even thinking about this issue and I happened across a product designed exactly for this purpose!  It’s called the BubCap!  I got in touch with Paperclip Robot, the inventers of the BubCap and they quickly sent me their Explorer 6 Pack for review.  As soon as it arrived I ripped open the envelope and dove right in.

Included was a pamphlet detailing how BubCaps work, and the Explorer 6 Pack of BubCaps.  This included a pair of each available style.  First is the BubCap Regular.  It is designed for Toddler use on the iPhone and iPod Touch.  This is the one I installed on my iPhone.  As soon as it was ready I handed it off to Poppet to give it a really good testing.  After 24 hours, she has yet to exit any app she has played with.

The idea is simple behind this ingenious little invention.  The BubCap placed across the home button requires more pressure to push than a toddler can produce.  It works perfectly!  Here’s what others are saying:

Did the BubCap actually work?  It worked perfectly at our house.  It’s a wonderful solution to my pesky button problem. -The iPhone Mom

Also included in the Explorer 6 Pack are the BubCap Ultra for use on the iPad.  And if your toddler has super-human BamBam like strength, then the BubCap Max is the ultimate solution!  Retailing at $6.99 for the Explorer Pack, or $5.00 for a specific 4 pack, the BubCap is worth every penny!
