I can’t sleep, I’ve got Restless Babe Syndrome
I’ve often heard of people not being able to sleep because their legs just want to keep going when their mind wants to drift off. It’s called Restless Leg Syndrome. It happens in our home often, eerily timed for when my mind is just on the brink of starry dreams. The Restless Legs belong to Poppet in what I “lovingly” refer to as Restless Babe Syndrome!
Poppet is sleeping more and more hours in her own room, but at some point every night she is in bed with us. Usually we co-sleep quite happily. But on occasion, especially if she is hungry or going through a growth spurt, she won’t settle down for anything! She tosses and turns, whines and cries, kicks and prods. This never seems to coincide with the nights I can’t sleep and am up for no apparent reason.
I ran into Shoppers Drug Mart to pick up some diapers and a homeopathic remedy we use with Poppet for colds called Coryzalia by Boiron. Beside the usual cold remedy and the colic remedy was a box I hadn’t seen before. It was a remedy for general restlessness! Named, quite appropriately, Quietude. I already LOVE their other products, so we got a box to keep on hand. If this works on those nights she just won’t can’t seem to doze peacefully, it will be worth every penny of the $18.49 it cost!

Wow! I’ve never heard of that – I wonder what the active ingredient is…
Also can relate to restless baby! My son likes to climb into bed with us and turn either 90 or 180 degrees which ever is the least comfortable for mom & dad!
Oh… years ago we just gave them a shot of brandy …. just kidding!..

Interesting product. I wish I had it 38 years ago for my son. The restless leg syndrome is something I hada suffered with for years. The tried different meds that I didn’t like. then the sleep specialst suggested I have a ferriten blood test for low iron. That was the cause. Since my hgb and hct were always very good no one had ever suppected my restless legs. Some extra iron and my legs are now quiet. My insurance though didn’t pay the $130 for the blood test.
Just though I would pass it on in case it helps someone. Someone else may be different.
