Frenzied Friday
Due to the white out conditions yesterday, we were late arriving in the Soo. Poppet stayed up too late, then Papa and Mummy stayed up WAY too late as it was the only time to spend child-free and just wind down from the drive. But other than the lack of sleep, today has not been too bad.
Every time we travel through Birch Run, Michigan, we stop at the outlet stores. My fave, the Fossil store, has had a remodel (note to Fossil: due to the dark colours, and lights being raised higher in the ceiling, you actually looked closed, even at mid-day) Much to my chagrin, they have stopped carrying sun glasses. Was able to pick up a sweet pair at the Gap outlet. Our tradition on these trips is to go to the photo booth as a family. Yesterday was no different. We piled in, sat down and started to pose! I was amazed at how much more alert Poppet was this time. The photo on the left was in August, the one on the right yesterday. I think she’s inherited a lot of her father’s quirky-ness!
Today we’ve been travelling about, visiting various people. But started the day off with a great conversation with a random gentleman who commented on Poppet and then pulled up a chair for 25 minutes. Didn’t think that happened anymore! Awesome to spend some quality time with a complete stranger!
